I am blessed to have crossed paths with Dr Douglas J. Mills M.D. in a Starbucks in Ningbo just three months ago. We struck up a friendship and, to keep a long story short, consequently, we have developed the POWER and CONTROL Ergonomic Handles for Water Fed Poles.

To add to this delightful serendipity, is my employment of a young Swiss/German - Joab 'Bob' Froam who is a budding Design Engineer.
Between Doug, Bob, Harrison and I, we have tested 5 different versions of these handles and we feel we are past the 80% mark for ease-of-use, and reducing the demands of smaller control muscles during power movements while using a Water Fed Pole. Bob has designed the handles from scratch - the first generation of handles have over 70 components and are completely hand-made. Dr Mills and I tested the handles for their efficiency. Rather than launching into mass production, I have resolved that, until we have the feedback that helps us know we are delivering the very best solution, we will continue to make these handles by hand.

At first, of course, we could only imagine selling them, but last year, Harrison had shown me a TED Talk about 'giving first' and allowing donations to come back to support you (if you deserve it).
In addition, I have felt a huge indebtedness to the window cleaners that chose to buy a Reach-iT pole during our first four years of business. Without the support faith, and, at times, patience from these people, our dreams, our potential and our current reality would not have become true.
So this is our chance to support those that have supported us - this is when it's a matter of respect.

We now can prove that water fed poles are also potentially injurious - not catastrophically like falling off ladders, but through forcing our bodies into poor ergonomic alignment with an awkward motion. This 'awkwardness' can carve an 'injury groove' and thereby reduce the quality of life of a mature window cleaner if he succumbs to a Repetitive Motion Injury.
