I know there are plenty of threads on marketing, but I wanted to start a dialogue with everyone on what is working currently. With all the options out there, it can sometimes be intimidating to make advertising/marketing decisions without hearing of a proven track record. As a start-up I like to keep things as cheap as possible, while still being effective.
It's a new year and everyone is either putting their marketing plans together or already executing them. I'll start off by saying that I absolutely love Thumbtack. It's cheap, simple to use, and allows you the chance to connect with a potential customer who is actually looking for our services.
I've been giving some consideration to paying for yelp advertising but still haven't pulled the trigger. Some other tactics I use currently are door hangers, yard signs in completed jobs, and 5-arounds. What else are you guys using to drum up leads with success? Doesn't have to be super cheap, just thought that sounded like a catchy title.
