Selling Water

SKRUB has no water. It is fifty/fifty pure glycerin and synthetic micro-crystalline silica. There are several other products out there that are based on silica. If you check out their MSDS you will likely learn that there is very little silica. Look under Ingredients. You will also find a lot of water. Certain emulsifying agents (other chems) have been added to suspend the silica in that water. I also question the actual quality of the silica. Bottom line here is cost. The overall cost of the product must be minimized enough so that this number can be multiplied by 4 to 6 to get a workable retail price. It must make a profit. Lets say after all manufacturing costs a product cost a buck to make. The manufacturer wants to make a buck so they raise this to two bux. This is what it sells to the distributor for. Who then doubles it again to four bux which is the retail price. If the market will pay a greater price then the manufacturer will sell that same product to the distributor for 3 bux. The retail cost then becomes 6 bux. That is what you and I pay. My SKRUB could never be marketed in this way. Because it is SO dense and heavy it would drive the shipping cost way too high. Also the end retail would be enormous due to the amount of high quality silica packed into every ounce. This is why I have chosen to sell it direct as a custom product. Few other people have done this. If you have any questions about any products I have created please send me an email at henrygroverjr@gmail.com
