A WFP know nothing

So, I'm looking at getting my first WFP set up. I know there are a ton of threads on here about wfp, but it's almost to much information to absorb. I'm just looking for a brief ballpark of, from scratch, what all do I HAVE to have, what's really nice to have, and a ballpark price range for a good middle of the road set up for 4 stories and under. Thank you all for any help and advice.
