Question What specifics does your intitial clean offer

Hey guys, I had been wondering what most of you do as far as the detail you will spend on glass to get it clean, do your customers expect you to fully detail every part of the window( including parts that are not visible, eg rollers within the aluminum frame).

The reason i ask and to maybe put this into perspective is that i recently had a German customer, and she was fussy which was not much of an issue however when i give a quote it is for general window cleaning unless otherwise specified and i communicate this to the customer(meaning i normally will not remove construction debris or hard water staining).

When i was packing up she pointed put some concrete splatter on the glass to which i told her like i said at the time of the quote these things would not be removed as on dirty glass i can not spot this most times especially when the home is not new. She was also not happy that her windows next to her pool which were stained from the pool water were not stain free, however this job had not been cleaned in many years.

Then on Friday i did a job which almost all of the windows had paint and silicone on them this house was also not new. Windows had not been cleaned for many years. and took 7hrs as it was. If i were to remove all silicone and paint i would imagine it would have taken a few days.

I seen a few videos where guys were scrapping every window the 1st time they cleaned a property. TBH i have not really been a majority residential WC, doing commercial everything is an extra charge, personally i wont give away a free CCU.

Here in Australia we don't have estimates we have to give a quotation, i'm really not sure how an estimate works by definition its sounds as tho it can vary? idk is this correct? With a quote it really can not legally. If you quote a price for a job you are legally bound to complete the work as specified for the amount agreed upon, therefore i specify a "general window clean".

What does everyone else do?
