Help Gaining first commercial client

Hi everyone,



I am a small company located in CT looking to get a commercial client or two. I am wondering what suggestions or tips people may have that would be helpful to someone who as never done his before. Specifically I was wondering what ways you all would recommend approaching buisnesses trying to gain them as a client. I have read that some people reccomen calling a buisness while others suggested going in to the buisness in person, doing a sales pitch, then leaving them with an estimate. Any thoughts on this?
