How / best way to get first customers

Hello all I've just started my business trying to get my first customers. I have businesse cards, and I made flyers so what's the best way to advertise/ get your name out there. I have left business cards at some restaurants that have boards to hang cards on. I have gone door to door and past out flyers but due to having to walk up to each and every door to drop off flyers I've realized it's very slow and I work a separate full time job so it's hard to devote hours to walk around and pass out flyers. So what's the fastest and most efficient way to advertise and what have you found to yeld the best rate of return
