Okay, so, I'm new to this and am doing lots of research, and had a question. First, a slight background.
I live in a small town, but it has it's fair share of nicer homes, businesses and the like with lots of dirty windows that need cleaning. Rumor has it there's one guy in town who cleans windows, but a quick google search turns up nothing. I don't know this guy, have never met him, but I would assume he kinda shows up, throws on some windex and leaves. I don't know this, and really shouldn't judge, but if I'm having a hard time getting a hold of the guy...
Anyway. I would like to clean windows in a lot of the businesses downtown, and here's how I was thinking my script should go:
"Hello, my name is Brandon and I'm with (insert window cleaning company name here) and I was wondering, who cleans your windows?"
And if someone is already doing their windows, do I just smile, say thanks and walk away? I really don't want to try to underbid someone and take away their business. I know business is business, but we all have to eat, ya know?
Should I have my equipment ready, offer to clean them once for free to see if they like what they see, and then set up return appointments?
If there's any sort of stickied threads about this I apologize, I'm a little pressed for time and didn't have time to search.
Thanks in advance!
