I've tried Ettore rubber (seemed to be to soft) Pulex, unger, stecone, the stuff with 3 stars as the logo (I don't know what it's called) and I can't seem to find something that will work. What do you use for rubber, in what kind of channel do you use the rubber?
Yesterday I had a job I tried using my wide bodied Sorbo channel with an Unger Ninja handle and it didn't even pull the water off the window, it just smeared the water around. The rubber looked fine, tips were a bit worn, but that's beside the point. It's as if it somehow was riding on the ends of the channel and the middle didn't even touch the glass.
I'm still a newbie and need help! On deep ledges when I go to close out the channel will skip (no matter what type of squeegee I'm using whether wide or normal.) And I think it's because the handles get caught on the ledge. So I have to go back with a 6" channel without a handle and close out that way... It sucks. How do you cope with deep interior ledges? what tips or tricks do you use to close out smoothly?
